MY PRACTICE AND APPROACH

 

I practice by engaging people in psychodynamic psychotherapy, usually on a longer term basis.

​

I’m a general adult psychiatrist with an interest in the relationship between the body and mind, as well as medically unexplained symptoms. 

​

I also have an interest in working with people who experience psychosis.

  

I am comfortable in managing a wide range of psychiatric problems including mood problems, anxiety, obsessional phenomena, relational issues and existential distress.

 

My preferred age range is people 16 years old and over. 

 

When working with patients i only manage medications in a limited number of circumstances. I have a cautious approach to psychoactive medications.

I currently work part time in the Consultation Liaison Psychiatry team at Barwon Health, Geelong.
